Insurance

We do not accept insurance, and instead are considered “out of network” providers. Many people are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance company.

We get it- therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and money, which is why we are dedicated to providing high-quality care.

You may learn more about your out-of-network eligibility here.

We accept payment in the form of credit or debit cards, as well as Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or HSA Health Savings Account (HSA).

What To Expect

  • Start with a phone call

We each offer a complimentary 20 minute consult to answer any questions you may have and determine if we would be a good fit.

  • Schedule an intake

Once we connect, we'll schedule an initial intake appointment to learn a bit more about you and your mental health and wellness goals.

  • Determine a schedule or receive your recommendations

During our intake, we will map out a scheduling and treatment plan that best fits your needs and lifestyle moving forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At this time, visits are being offered virtually through a secure video platform. Services are available to those residing in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

  • Teletherapy allows us to meet virtually through a HIPAA-secure platform. It allows for flexible scheduling (like meeting during your lunch break) as well as the ability to access a good-fit provider without being in the same area. However, you must be in Maryland or Pennsylvania at the time of our sessions, and we recommend ensuring good internet connection!

  • This is a great question, and there are a few reasons. Not contracting with insurance companies allows for more flexibility in services being provided, as well as a reduced need to diagnose when unnecessary. Insurance companies requiring a diagnosis indicates an “assumption of illness,” which does not align with my practice values. Wanting to better oneself does not = illness. Being an out-of-network provider also allows me to create an individualized treatment plan, as opposed to an insurance-based one which may not fit you or your needs.

  • We are pretty active therapists, so if you are looking for someone to simply listen and provide a lot of silence and “mm-hmms”, we’re probably not a good fit. Just like doctors use medication as a tool for change, our biggest tool as therapists is the relationship. For this reason, goodness of fit and feeling comfortable is crucial. We strongly encourage you to prioritize this when searching for a therapist by utilizing consultation calls (whether with us, or anyone!)

  • This is tough to say. After your initial intake, we will come up with a treatment plan that will allow us to get a better sense of your needs and what sessions will look like.
